A flash-fiction web-serial.
The year is 6942. Mankind are no longer inhabitants of one, lonely planet, but spread across the Solar System and beyond. The story is predominantly set on the colonies of Saturn’s moon, Titan.
Gilda Gorightly — Twenty-six-years-old, a natural blonde with a quick mind and temper, she is daughter of the famous Dr. Gorightly, archeologist and inventor. She was encouraged by both her parents to do what she loved: fixing things. As a result, she came to be a mechanic and owns a repair shop for anything and everything called “Glitter and Grease” in the colony of Rumsfoord on Titan.
Henri Tso Wong — Eighty-seven-years-old and looking not a day over twenty-five, his bodily hair grows neon green from one of many genetic alterations he's undergone. Formerly wealthy, he is a displaced librarian in a society that doesn't need him.
Wrench Jamin — Forty-five-Earth-years-old (twenty-six by his home planet's measuring), his hairless humanoid body is a pitch black sky speckled with scales that sparkle in the light—with an attitude to match. He is Gilda's best friend, business partner, and longtime acquaintance of the Gorightly family.
Mathilda Gorightly — Forty-seven-years-old, with the same blonde hair she passed on to her daughter, Gilda, she is practiced in many holistic ways of living and healing. Though her daughter doesn’t believe it, she has some special mental abilities beyond guessing when Gilda will be around for tea.
The Corporation — Is a league of businesses having aligned themselves for profit and proliferation. They are represented by an expansive and expensive political party, and exert much control over business and social law. They are also famous for abusing their power.
Septorks — This alien race have aligned themselves with The Corporation. They act as security for all Corporation headquarters, and perform a myriad of other duties. The conditions and terms of the alliance are unknown.
Revisions — Some issues have been revised for consistency. Check out Glitter and Grease | The Original Issues, here.
